I, Jeroen Tijdgat, had some ideas for such a site and I started working on it. That site developed into the Dutch only TweedeHandsMac.nl.
More and more people learned about this site and started to use it. Slowly the site became the most popular place on the web for selling and buying Macs in the Netherlands. The site is also visited by many Dutch speaking Belgians.
With help of regular visitors I could implement many improvents over the original design and function.
Forward to Spring 2001. There still was not a site like Tweedehandsmac.nl in the English speaking countries. So I started working on that. I improved and updated the TweedehandsMac design while also expanding the features. The result is SecondhandMac.
Naturally SecondhandMac is designed, developed and hosted on Macs. The server is running WebStar, Lasso and FileMaker software.
Only with your input can SecondhandMac perform the way you like it. If you have any questions or remarks do not hesitate to contact us. We will try to implement any good suggestion.
